This bill would seek to divest Canada from investment in Iran. It would also freeze the assets of those that contribute to Iran’s nuclear or military infrastructure, or in Mr. Cotler's words, "it’s machinery of hate". It would further use the framework of the international community to bring the Islamic Regime of Iran to justice through recognized principles of international law.
